Waking up at 4:30am to watch the sun rise in the Amazon was not something we had on our bucket list. Of course, now we can both cross it off if we ever decide to add it. We cruised out from our resort and anchored our boat in the waters facing the glow of the sun rising from behind a mass of clouds in the distance. As we waited for the sun to appear...we sat in total silence (Marcos was not with us this morning!) and listened to the roar of howler monkeys throughout the jungle behind us.
The sun finally rose to the occasion at 5:55am. Good morning!
