We've seen some waterfalls, big and small....and nothing quite compares to the spectacle of Iguazu. The Iguazu Falls stretch in width for 1.7 miles. Special walkways have been built around the Iguazu Falls to allow visitors to get close up to this wonder of natural beauty and power.
A long pathway along the canyon (on the Brazilian side of the falls) allows tourists like us to give our cameras a workout.
We followed the map from one end of the canyon to the other (see above) and filled our camera memory card full of photos. Some of them turned out great....and, some of them didn't (especially when your wife steals the camera!).
Visitors to Brazil are advised to see the Iguazu Falls during spring or autumn, as summer is very hot and humid, while the water level drops considerably in the winter. It's June 29th, and this is considered winter season for the Falls. We're lovin' the Brazilian winter so far - great weather (75 degrees) and no crowds.
